TeenMaptivists Reflections

Emma A

TeamMaptivists is important to me because during the time I'm mapping I get the chance to make an impact in this world. When mapping, I map houses that are in locations that haven't been mapped before. Mapping these houses informs healthcare and emergency teams how many people need to be saved in the location. Every time I map it reminds me how easily a person can impact the world. We have monthly meetings about mapping, but due to work, I haven't been able to go. However, it doesn't stop me from mapping. I map at home when I get the chance and sometimes when work is slow. I enjoy mapping and I enjoy helping people and getting a chance to help people by simply putting a square around their house is something I encourage a lot of people to get involved with.
