Okay, so today in class on May 27, 2025, we did this cool thing where we mapped buildings in Vernon, Alabama. It's part of this project where we help make better maps for places that need them. Basically, we used satellite images to find and draw buildings on the map. It's all about helping out with things like disaster relief and community projects. We had to make 20 to 30 edits each, which sounds like a lot, but it was actually pretty fun once you got the hang of it. I learned how to trace the buildings just right and add the correct tags. Now we're all writing blogs about what we did, and it's cool to see how everyone's little bit helps make a big difference for a small town like Vernon. It's not just about drawing lines on a map; it's about helping people out in the real world.
